Billy Goat Strut offers 32 luxury apartments of contemporary design, in a setting of Victorian elegance, at 600 East Main Street.

This historic Second Empire structure was built in 1881 for the well-established Wallace and Lithgow Company, makers of mantles and stoves, and in 1904 became the home of The Kentucky Lithographing Company. It was named, “Billy Goat Strut” for the alley which forms its southern boundary, once the site of the gentle pastime of a less sophisticated age; the racing of neighborhood goats for an afternoon’s amusement.

Now fully restored and renovated, Billy Goat Strut features efficiency, and one and two bedroom apartments, some with fireplaces and lofts. Covered or off-street parking is available, and first-floor office and retail space is planned as an added convenience.
